Since 1979, Tulsa Life Flight has served the communities in and around eastern
Oklahoma by providing helicopter ambulance critical care transports. We respond to
scenes and hospital to hospital requests for patient transports. We have safely
completed over 43,000 accident free patient flights.
Tulsa Life Flight is currently in the midst of a transition from a hospital based service to
becoming a community based service. This will result in Tulsa Life Flight continuing to
move out into the communities of eastern Oklahoma, adding additional bases and
aircraft to our service. In line with our transition, Tulsa Life Flight is owned and operated
Air Methods Corporation is the nation’s largest provider of air medical emergency
transport services and systems. The company is dedicated exclusively to air medical
transport, focusing on the quality of care to patients, and safety in aviation operations.
With 29 years of experience, the company transports more than 98,000 patients
annually who require intensive medical care from either the scene of an accident or
general care hospitals to highly skilled trauma centers or tertiary care centers. Air
Methods operates a fleet of 320 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft at 253 bases in 43
states, and is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado.
