Tulsa Life Flight's Communications Center

Our Communications Center is equipped with weather radar and data service displays, computerized GPS mapping, satellite flight tracking and messaging, and a PC network with an extensive custom database of agency information, scene location data and all TLF patient data logging and charting. Our Comm Center is equipped with UHF, VHF, trunked 800 Mhz and AM aviation radio systems as well as direct helipad video monitoring and security systems on each helipad at Saint Francis Hospital.

Our computerized mapping system allows us to quickly direct our aircraft to precise scene locations, saving time in getting our crews on the scene.

We utilize a high-speed text messaging system to alert our crews to respond for flight requests, as well as delivering updated information on patient status and landing zone information while they are enroute to your location. We have several backup notification systems available in the event of the failure of one system to help prevent response delays.

Our Communications Specialists have a combined experience of over 75 years of aeromedical and ground EMS communications. All of our Communications Specialists have previous EMS experience and specialized training at our facility tailored to the specific needs of our air and ground transport services.
